The Rolling Thunder Chapters of North Carolina has campaigned for a bill to create the "Bring Them Home" POW/MIA North Carolina License Plate to honor Service Members who were classified as a "Prisoner of War" (POW) and the Service Members who are classified as "Missing In Action" (MIA) and are unaccounted for. According to the Defense POW-MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) there are over 1,590 Service Members from North Carolina still unaccounted for and classified as MIA. When you look at all of the Missing in Action for the United States that number jumps to over 85,000 Americans that are still unaccounted from all our previous Wars.

It is our hope that this License Plate will serve as a reminder to everyone that there are still American Families that haven't been able to welcome their loved ones home, be it alive or dead.
