Hope Mills Veteran's Day
Ceremony
November 11, 2009
Jessie Bellflowers, Commander, VFW post 10630 opened the Veteran's Day ceremony at the Hope Mills Veteran's Memorial Park. This year's ceremony was forced indoors due to the severe wind and rain.
Mayor Eddie Dees read the proclamation declaring November 11th as Veterans Day in the town of Hope Mills .
The guest speaker for this year's ceremony was Mr. Chester Biggs, a Hope Mills resident and a former POW during World War II.
Wreaths were presented from many different organizations, including Rolling Thunder NC1, honoring all Veterans - past, present, and future. Presenting the wreath were Bill Koraska, Beth Koraska, and Lonnie Eddings.
Thanks to Eve Moser for the great work on our wreath. It looks great!
Thanks to all Rolling Thunder NC1 members who came out and represented the chapter.
