The 23rd Annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner was held at VFW Post 670 on Sunday, November 23rd. Members of Rolling Thunder NC 1 were out in force to cook, set up, post the colors, serve meals, and clean up afterwards.
The dinner is part of VFW Post 670’s and MOC PT24’s community service program. Many of the Rolling Thunder members who came out to help are also members of the VFW and Post 670.
There were a lot of folks who spent most of the morning preparing dinner for the expected crowd of 125 to 150 people. And you know those who attend look forward to this event every year, and are very thankful for the effort put on by the VFW.
After everyone had eaten, it was time for a little entertainment. I think it is safe to say a good time was had by all, and many thanks to everyone who came out to help with this event.
