RTNC1 donated and raised a new POW-MIA Flag for the residents of the North Carolina State Veterans Nursing Home in Fayetteville on Saturday, 2 May.
As you know, we visit the Veterans Nursing Home the first Saturday of each month to spend some time with our veterans and play some bingo. As the days began to get longer, it was still light when we arrived one evening around 6:30 pm. One of our members, James Sessoms, noticed that the POW-MIA Flag that was flying was badly worn and faded. This issue was brought up at the next general membership meeting and unanimously agreed upon to purchase and raise a new flag.
